The night on one screen

What each column means →

What it counts

One row per raider, the raiders with the most to fix on top. Gear and buffs at pull are read at the boss pulls; the rest follows the Fights menu. The six columns on the left are the checklist; the rest change with the role lens: healing and mana for healers, damage taken and crushes for tanks, boss and adds for damage dealers. Boss and Adds credit Windfury, Judgement of Light and the other buff procs to whoever the team rule says.

What it does not

It is a checklist, not a ranking: two raiders with the same red count can have had very different nights, and Boss dmg says nothing about the pull's length or the raider's job in it. A share of a buff that cannot be placed stays on the receiver.

When to care

Red is a talk, yellow a nudge, a dash nothing to say. Open the row before writing the message: it holds the numbers the raider's role is judged on, and every number with more behind it opens on click. Click a count to open the sheet that holds the detail on that raider.

Turn on advanced combat logging

Type /combatlog before the first pull. Any raider can; you do not need to lead the raid or hold a rank. The game writes everything to WoWCombatLog.txt in your Logs folder.

Drop the file in

A hundred megabytes is normal. One log is parsed at a time; if the machine is busy, the file waits on your computer until it is your turn. A full raid night is ready in a couple of seconds after the file arrives. If someone else already uploaded the same raid, you are told before anything is doubled.
